GULAB JAMUN

SIMPLE AND SWEET GULAB JAMUN

A single gulab jamun ball is about the size of a ping-pong ball. Depending upon recipe variations, calories and nutrition facts may vary, but each ball generally has about 150 calories.

Gulab jamun has 142 calories, 8 g fat, 10 mg cholesterol, 40 mg sodium, 16.5 g carbohydrates, no fiber and 2 g protein. Since the balls are made using milk, they're also rich in calcium; a single dessert ball has close to 10 percent of the recommended daily value.

Gulab jamun is a milk-solids based dessert, popular in countries of South Asia such as India, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Pakistan and Bangladesh. It is also common in Mauritius and the Caribbean countries of Trinidad and Tobago, Guyana, Suriname and Jamaica
